About: This blog was created to share the fascinating and slightly morbid Victorian practice of Postmortem Photography.

WARNING: Not for those who fear death, become easily frightened, or the weak of heart.

In the Victorian ages, it was common to take a picture with a loved one after they had succumb to death, since the infant mortality rate was so high, many parents did not get a chance to get a picture of the child while they were living, so they pose them in certain positions to look alive. Photography, however, was very expensive so there usually wasn't many photographs of the person living.
Please help me meet my LDR Boyfriend, Bo!

justasidekick:

As a lot of you know, I have been in a serious relationship with Bo (theworldsworstmusical) for a good while now. And as of lately, I’ve been trying to get enough money to go and visit him for spring break. But, no matter how hard I’ve been working the money doesn’t seem to quite add up fast enough. That’s why I decided to ask you guys.

I know how supportive everyone on this website can be. I’ve made lots of friends through different fandoms, weird introductions, random follow forevers, and so much more.

So, today, I come to you with a request. Please help me raise enough money to go meet my boyfriend.

On this website, you can read just what this money is going towards, when it will happen, and a little about our relationship.

If you would like to help, but don’t have any money, please please please reblog this. I can’t stress enough how important it is for me to see him. I have been through countless hospital visits in the past few months due to some very serious health issues, and now I want nothing more to be with him after such a long and stressful time.

Every dollar counts. Thank you so much for taking your time to read/donate/reblog.

With love.

xo

This is the Buckley Family. The children’s names were Susan and John. As a Halloween joke, all the kids in the neighborhood were going to get a dummy and pretend to chop its head off. The Buckley children thought it would be hilarious to actually murder their mother, so when the kids walked up the the door, they got an axe and slaughtered her. Once everyone figured out what they had really done, they called the police, but the kids were long gone by then. The only picture of them was this photo, taken by a trick or treater. The mothers body was later found half eaten.

reblogging because wtf

wait but like what the actual fuck

Lol oh photoshop…. How you fool everyone.
